3. No Liability: FALP is not liable for any transactions or interactions between users (Potential Clients) and the lawyers listed on our directory. You are responsible for directly contacting the chosen listed lawyer through the information provided on our website.

4. No Referrals: FALP does not act as a broker or agent for any listed lawyer. We do not reach out to lawyers in the directory to refer potential clients.

5. No Compensation From Users: FALP does not receive any fees, compensation, commissions, or any other form of remuneration from the public for the use of our directory. If you learn of anyone asking or soliciting for payments for the use of our website, please let us know.

6. No Legal Advice: Any legal article displayed on the FALP website are authored by listed lawyers. Such articles do not constitute legal advice. If you have questions related to these articles, please contact the respective author using the details linked to the article.

7. Independence of Transactions: FALP is not involved in any transactions or discussions between potential clients and listed lawyers. All engagements are solely between the user and the lawyer.

8. No Guarantee on Legal Results. FALP does not make any representation that the user's legal problem will be resolved by the use of our website, or by contacting a Listed Lawyer.

I - SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Find A Lawyer Philippines is an online directory of licensed lawyers. Our platform functions similarly to traditional directories, but we leverage modern technology to enhance the search experience for users. Anyone can easily browse the directory, select a lawyer based on several applicable categories, and contact them directly.We provide an opportunity for lawyers to be included in our online directory which the public can use for free. The public can contact the lawyers directly through the contact details they provide.

II – PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT ARE COLLECTED, COLLECTION METHOD, TIMING OF COLLECTION, AND PURPOSE OF COLLECTION

For lawyers who will engage our services, we collect the following information:

•Name

•Roll of Attorneys number

•Year of admission to the Bar

•Office address

•Contact number

•Email address

 

We collect other information such as the name of the lawyer’s law firm, areas of practice, place of practice, website, Facebook profile, LinkedIn profile, and other information concerning the lawyer’s practice. We collect the above-mentioned personal information through our Lawyer’s Information Form which can be found here on our website. The above-mentioned personal information are collected only upon submission of the Lawyer’s Information Form. We collect personal information for purposes of including you in our database of licensed lawyers which will be posted on our website. For the viewing public who visits our website, we do not collect any personal information.

III – USE AND STORAGE PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

The primary purpose of Find A Lawyer Philippines is to make your personal information accessible to the public who are looking for lawyers. We will post your personal information publicly on our website. Personal information shared through our website will be visible to the general public. We also keep your personal information in a storage protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

IV – RETENTION PERIOD

 

Personal data collected through the Lawyer’s Information Form shall be retained while the data subject is subscribed to Find A Lawyer Philippines. Personal data shall also be retained 30 days after the expiration of the subscription of the data subject for purposes of potential renewal of subscription.

V – RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECT

 

Under the Data Privacy Act and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, you are entitled to the following rights as a data subject:

1.You have the right to access your personal data.

2.You have the right to get a copy of your personal data.

3.You have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data obtained through the Lawyer’s Information Form.

4.You have the right to correct your personal data if inaccurate or incomplete, unless the request for correction is vexatious or unreasonable.

5.You have the right to block, remove or destroy your personal data if incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, used for unauthorized purposes or are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

6.You shall also have the rights under the Data Privacy Act not provided herein. The right to access, copy, correct, remove, or destroy personal data shall be subject to the verification of the identity of the requesting data subject. The request shall be denied if no proper identification was made. The request for correction may be denied when there is failure from the requesting data subject to supply sufficient information reasonably required to determine how the personal data is inaccurate.
